Retrieving Deleted Photos

Hi I have a Sony Xperia phone and recently, accidentally, deleted vital photos and need to retrieve them. I have downloaded the retrieval app but it only downloaded photos upto March 2019, I need July! Can anyone help, the images are needed by the Police for evidence.
