Why can’t I record on Sony 49xg8396 just bought it and I am a little disappointed because I cannot record on it. Is there a fix for this

Hello @Smeg-headd,

 

have you checked that the hard drive is recommended by Sony? There are so many hard drives out there, with so many different specifications, that you should really check the recommended drives or at least specs before buying just any harddrive.

Thank you for your help. Got it sorted ok. I had to disable you view which is a TV guide in the uk. And it seems to be working fine now.
