Deleted photos

Hi all

I am new to this forum so please bear with me

I have a Xperia L1 and I wanted to delete some unwanted photos and I deleted all my photos by mistake.

I am gutted because most of them were precious family photos.

I do have an SD card in my phone and I do have a Google account on my phone but I don't think the Google account is linked to my phone.

I would love to get my photos back but don't have the faintest idea on how to do this.

Sorry, I am 58 and some of these things are mind boggling to me 🤔

Can anybody help me please before my photos are deleted for good

Thank you

Simon

Hi @Grinch61 and welcome to the Community

Please don't use your phone for anything else until you’ve recovered your images.

Creating new files or data can erase deleted images that may still be on your phone.

There are several apps that may help recover them, for example DiskDigger which you'll find in

the Google Play store from your phone.

Try installing it and then running a basic scan.

I haven't used this app yet but its woth giving it a try first

Hope this helps

Hello @Grinch61,

if your photos were on the SD card, you can recover the photos with a card-reader with your PC and the software "Photorec" by CG-Security (German company): https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

The software is free, yet I personally would consider a donation once you successfully recovered the photos.
