Sending My 650 on A Little Trip.

I bought my 650 last year and it has been great.  I bought it in black, but I notice a red one is available.  I would really like the red one!:smileygrin:  My question is, if I send my black one to my father in South Africa, will he be able to use it?  Ereaders are still very expensive over there and I thought he could use mine, until prices come down and he can then get a new one, of his choice. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was going to buy him a 350 last year and decided not to because it said they could only be posted within the UK.

Hi, All readers currently are only resticted by the purchased ebook market, I anot sure what services are available in South Africa, but they would not be able to access purchased ebooks via a UK store, they can however use all the free books off the web

Thank you.  I didn't want to do anything illegal.  Looks like he will be getting a nice black Sony reader.  There's not much availabe there at the moment.  The actual readers are very expensive.  Though as you say, there is plenty of free material out there to get him started.  Plus I get a nice, new red one....:smileyhappy:
