Hi.
I have a Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V camera. Can anyone please tell me how I can do a black and white or sepia photo, highlighting just red or maybe blue features?
thank you
Solved! Go to Solution.
Easy.
- Select M, S, A or P
- Menu with the camera on top
- page 4 picture effect
- High Contrast Mono, Rich BW and many other options
Take your time to study the Manual.
Enjoy!
When you try to master your camera a site like this is helpfull because it doesn't just summarize settings, it explains a bit more.

Your question made me dive into it a bit further.
You can adapt Intelligent Auto and Superior auto to act more like your individual setting.
Try this:
- In Auto mode push the lower side of the Control Wheel on the back
- You can now adapt Brightness, Color, Vividness easy.
- Go one symbol further to the right, the painter's palette.
- From there touch the upper or lower side of the Controle Wheel and you'll end up in black and white easily.
The other thing to explore is the Scenes position of the Mode Dial on top of your camera.
To be honest I'm hooked on Superior Auto.
The possibility to adapt Brightness from there is my favorite and max adaptation.
Let the camera do the job.
