I have an SR72 HDD video camera, NOT the 72E version.
This has no USB output sockets and relies on the cradle to enable file transfer to a PC. Or can connect direct to a TV visa the RCA leads.
I am wanting to use the camera for Streaming/Recording videos, and want to connect to my PC's USB 2.o ports.
Are there any suitable adapters/leads or cheap capture devices that will allow passthrough and let me do this?
Any help would be much appreciated.
I couldn't find the model you're referring to, only the 72E (DCR-SR72E) comes up when searching.
That said, you can probably find a capture card/device in a computer shop nearby and that's probably the only alternative you have since cradle-based cameras have no direct way of transferring a signal for streaming/live recording.
Hope this helps!

I have managed to get it working, although would have been much easier with a custom cable/adapter designed for the job.
I had a unit designed to convert SCART to HDMI, which I purchased to enable use of my video recorder/DVD to work on my modern television that only has HDMI inputs. The converter also had a RCA input. Attaching the camera to this RCA port, then using this unit, plus a Video Capture dongle that had HDMI in, anlong with a cable with HDMI in/USB out. I was able to get the video camera to show up on the computer as a camera source in OBS Studio..
