DCR-HC39E- Problem with LCD and Playback

Hi Guys

My camera has just started going all wierd on me. When I open the screen all the images have a red weird look about them as if everyone has serious sunburn. It also happens when I play back the recording yet on another pre-recorded tape it doesn't do it on the old recording but does when I try to record on the old tape? Does anyone recognise this problem?

Hi Craig,

If the image changes when you move around the LCD the possible reason is a broken FPC (ribbon cable) connecting the LCD with te main board.

Unfortunately the replacement is not an easy task and cannot be done at home, you'll have to send the camera for servicing to an authorized centre.
