CASSETTE WILL NOT LOAD IN HANDYCAM DCR-HC47E

Hi Can anyone help? I have been using camcorders for many years and have had the DCR-47E for a couple of years. I have never had a problem with the cassette not loading. I load the cassette and press push but the cassette compartment will not automatically go back in. I have not tried to force it. Does anyone have any suggestions. Many thanks, Alan

It's worth trying a different tape, but if you still have no luck, it really sounds like it needs to be looked at by a repair agent.   Sony Central Service's details can be found in the support section on the website here, you can register the repair online.
