It's about time Sony develop and manufacture a new consumer camcorder specifically designed for streaming outdoors using a cellular network such as Vodafone. I have extensively searched the internet for such a camcorder, but they don't seem to exist, at least at the consumer or prosumer level.
I have watched YouTube videos on how to achieve this by connecting a camcorder via the HDMI output to an Android or iPhone using various cables and a capture card and installing an app on the phone which allows streaming to FaceBook or YouTube. But this is really messy! Why are there no camcorders with all this built in?
It would probably mean a rethink of the traditional camcorder design, with a good sized screen at the rear, a built in cellular antenna, a slot to take a cellular network data SIM, a built in browser to enable navigation to Facebook, YouTube or any other streaming platform.
