BRAVIA KD55X8509C 4K poor picture quality

I've just bought a BRAVIA KD55X8509C 4K tv, I ran updates upon set up but the picture quality is very poor looking out of focus this very noticable when there is text on the dispaly......Any advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance

On your preferred input, press :

1. ACTION MENU on remote control.

2. Under Display & Sound select :

a. Picture mode - Vivid

b. Light sensor - Off

We have tried this, it doesnt seem to have made any difference, we will be returning the TV as it does not provide the quality of picture as advertised, very dissapointed.
