Hello All,
I have searched for this subject with no success?
My 10 month old Bravia Android (KD43XH8096BU) keeps rebooting/restarting every 2 or 3 hours
whilst we are using it?
Is it a problem since a update? Has anyone else experienced the same?
Sometimes the volume stops working too & I have to unplug it(TV) for a minute to get it back!!
What are the recomendations for curing it?
Thanx in advance folks.

I agree, firmware updates take forever normally but if enough people make a fuss, they might do something about it. We can only hope!
Do you know if you can roll back to a previous firmware version ?
Unfortunately no, you cannot rollback your firmware and you cannot Root the TV either. Sony have stipulated this.
Hey guys, try the below:
-Update firmware
-Disabling the interactive application* (HbbTV)
Go to: [HOME] > [Settings] > [Channel Setup] > [Digital setup] >[Interactive Application Setup] > [Interactive Application] > [OFF]
*The availability of the "Interactive Application" feature depends on your country.
-Turning off [Update Guide in standby] setting
Go to: [HOME] > [Settings] > [Digital Setup] > [Guide setup] > [Update Guide in standby] > [OFF]
-Use Wifi instead of LAN
-Perform a Factory Reset
I’ve spoken to Sony and they are well aware of the problem. They said they are working on a fix and will release it ASAP.
I have done all the suggestions on this thread and spent hours trying to fix it.
None work.
It's a software issue that SONY need to sort out and quickly.
The constant restarting and other issues are hugely irritating.
ASPS with SONY seems to be once a year if we're lucky.
I'm not holding my breath.
Nope - still an issue. Now spent hours trying to fix.
Thank-you henry.lind
This worked a treat & I would recommend it to anyone else having the same problem.
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year everyone.
Firstly, my TV has always been connected to the internet over wifi with automatic updates enabled. They have never worked.
All updates until now have been done manually via the Sony UK Support website manual using a PC and USB drive transfer.
In the last couple of days, there has been an update to the Firmware and I selected this manually.
Current version of Android O/S is 9 build number 6.71651
The update has taken place over wifi and I will monitor progress.
Hopefully these issues have now been resolved.
