Is it OK to expect Android Oreo on 2017 Sony Android TVs?

not for BBC iPlayer or My5.
youview only required for the other 2.
My TV is KD-55XF9005 ... the hevc and remux files are lagging each time and the sound is lagging... I came back to the factory reset but nothing... please fix it is very annoying

Yes, your TV will receive soon a firmware update with a number of bug fixes too.

Thanks for the update dutchice look forward to the new firmware hopefully fixes a few problems
When will the update be avalable though system update in the UK? I only have an old 1GB USB memory stick and that is not enough to do a manual upate....
Have you tried playing with Archos player?
I have a KD-65XD7505 and have just updated it to oreo firmware v6.5830. Since I have done this i am no longer able to cast any videos from my Windows 10 Laptop. I get the attached error message. I have tried doing a factory reset and I still have the same problem. I hav checked that the chromecast module is up to date in playstore. On the previous Nougat firmware i could cast the files with no problems. Anyone have any fix for this or can it be looked into and fixed on next update.

why do not you get new update oreo now about a 2018 television is unacceptable not working properly the mediaplayer

After upgrading to 8.0 My onscreen keyboard no longer appears when i click into a search or text area
Have tried using different keyboard and also stopping and starting keyboard service but no joy!
Any help would be appreciated

This is strange as I have exactly the same problem on my laptop connected by Ethernet and WiFi. However on my Desktop PC which is running exactly the same Windows 10 Pro 1809 it works perfectly. Conclusion something on my Laptop is blocking the KD-55XE9305.
