Is it OK to expect Android Oreo on 2017 Sony Android TVs?
Hi friends, I had problems after the Oreo update, but I changed my television to the factory settings and now it plays videos smoothly both via USB and via DLNA.
But it is better if an update with bug fixes is published
I wish i read this earlier!
just updated to Android 8.0 via USB because for some reason my TV doesn’t receive OTA updates and none of the stock apps play like BBC, ITV etc.
The TV has updated, and it tells me uour TV has updated, I press OK and boom restarts. Does this constantly, no fix yet. Thought it may be the fuse or the internet, but tried chaging the fuse and disconnecting from the internet but no luck. I did download the file from the U.K website.
I'm really sorry for you, my friend 😞 if the television is covered by the warranty, I think it's a service, brother.

Hi @pointy101 If you are waiting for the Automatic Software Download then it could take a few weeks before it is available. I used the USB update which worked fine on my XE9305. Better to wait for the auto update if you are not confident.
Is Sony aware of Video app and sound output changing bug?
the same and here sony xf90 the 4k files is lagging
Does anyone know if kd-55XD9305 is going to be updated?
XD93 won't get Oreo. It is older than any model in the list and based on the old ATV1 platform which Sony seems to abandon now.
