This seems to be a problem that is being addressed by Sony USA, however Sony UK do not yet appear to have commented on this issue. Has anyone got any further information about this problem on the new NEX-5N cameras for UK purchasers (and potential purchasers)?

I also just bought a Nex-5n and got a clicking one. I bought it from amazon.co.uk and I live in Finland, so I contacted Sony Finland. They said the repairs will be covered by European warranty, but that I must pay for postage fees to and from the service company myself. I find this to be appaling customer service in this case, which is clearly a well-known and admitted design fault by Sony. In some countries Sony has even issued public announcements like this: https://www.sony.com.hk/notice/2011093002_e.jsp.
I'm still trying to find out my options with Amazon, but I am seriously considering returning the product and using the refund to buy a camera from some other manufacturer. I'm new to these forums, so I don't know whether I'll get any response from Sony here, but I justed wanted to vent my frustrations about the bad consumer experience I have received so far.

Just bought Nex-5N from Finland. Is there any information about getting clicking fixed here in Finland?
I bought my NEX-5n on November 24th and it had the video clicking malfunction as well. I took it to the closest Sony authorized service and repair centre on November 29 for repair. It took them a week to get back to me that this issue is not covered under warranty. I had to instruct them to the Sony press release stating the issue and warranty fix in which after a few days they agreed to fix this issue along with an issue with the brand new LCD screen surface which had bubbled and actually pulled up only after 2 days with the product (on the left side where the orange sticker from Sony is applied featuring the "touch screen" LCD. It has been 2 weeks since I took it for repair and contacted the service centre today and still no promises when I will have the camera back and repaired. I thin this is taking a very long time and since the first week or more was due to them not even knowing about the clicking issue and investigating it, seems to be very irresponsible of Sony, at least here in Greece, to move on the issue or at least be informed of the potential problems with this new model.
Just writing this for general information...I just hope I receive the camera back soon as I really wanted to be using this for the holiday season, one of the main reasons I bought it tat this time.
I BOUGHT A NEW NEX 5N AND IT HAS VIDEO CLICKING PROBLEM TOO.
