Xperia 1 iii password

Hi,

 

Is there any reason why an app has forgotten my email address and password?   I use this app twice a week every week and it has only recently stopped storing this information. I did reach out to the developer and they advised that it would b an issue with my phone. Loads of other apps are fine and continue to have my email/username and password stored.

 

Is there a way for me to save this information again so I don't have to type it in everytime?

Hi @Azzzza97,

 

Did you try to troubleshoot the app itself, like clearing cache and data and force stop? if not try to do so and test again.

Also, you can reset preferences by going to settings> apps & notifications> see all apps> 3 dots on top right corner > reset app preferences 

And then try to open the app again and accept the permission, and if there is an option to save password and email, make sure that you tick this one.

I had previously cleared storage and cache, uninstalled the app and re-installed it and that didn't work.

 

I have now followed your instructions and that hasn't worked either.

Does that happen only with one app or you've experienced this issue with other apps?

Sorry, haven't been able to get into the forum for some reason. The issue as far as I'm aware is only with The National Lottey app.  I have contacted them and they advised saving the username and password is a setting local to my device. It must be something that Sony have changed as my details used to be saved. I have tried adding via Auto-fill, but the app doesn't appear on the list of options.

Hey.

 

Yeah I have uninstalled several times and cleared cache. Looks like Sony /Android have stopped the ability to save/auto-fill sign on details

@Azzzza97, I'd say that it has nothing to do with the phone itself then, it's just an app glitch. Have you tested this app from any different phone? Also check if there's any update available for this app in Google Play Store
