Exclusive Offer?

When I pre-registered on the Xperia 1 website, it said we will be the first to know when it's released and we'll get a special offer for it...

It has just yesterday been released in the UK with delivery on the 30th May... 

Why were we not informed and what about that special offer?

@LukaStemberger, that is a really good deal and I'm not quite sure if the exclusive offer is going to be able to top that, especially since the device in eStore, at least as far as I know are not available with subscription and you only purchase the actual device.

@drlmiles, I'm still waiting on further information but to be honest after I read the deals that @LukaStemberger posted, I don't think the exclusive offer is going to be able to top them, but I may be wrong and since neither of us know exactly when the device will be launched in the eStore, it's a bit of a gamble to not go for any of the other offers.

This is totally up to you of course, but that headset is almost too good to pass on!

@Jonas Thanks for trying to find out info about the Sony UK e-store offer - I gave up and went with a new contract with Carphone Warehouse. Just hope I can get a copy of the receipt needed for the headphones offer, as they won't send an email copy, and I've been living in a hotel in London for the last six weeks as my 32 year old son is very ill in hospital here (my home is in Merseyside). Hopefully I'll get something from Carphone Warehouse that will suffice

I'm sorry to hear about it... I live in London and I have good experience with Carphone Warehouse, I bought the XZ3 from them too. I'm sure they'll be ok, and if not, feel free to reach out to me if you need to have something sorted in London.

Brandpath have finally delivered their "exclusive offer" that they had promised to Sony for their e-store. It has been released, without any accompanying email to those that signed up already for the offer in the UK. The phone is £50 less than full retail MRP (which is OK) and the headphones available in the O2 & Carphone Warehouse offers are available to the first **130** customers buying the phone. What are they playing at?! O2 & Carphone Warehouse each have 1000 headphones to give out. And those who are awaiting the email of the exclusive offer will likely lose out as Brandpath haven't bothered to email them with the offer.

Thanks for the offer @LukaStemberger, but I think I've managed to get an invoice from CW. At least their offer is better than the UK Sony e-store 😳

I believe only carphone warehouse has the "first 1000" limit, the O2 claim has no restrictions.

Also, and I have a little bias on this as I use O2, the device part of the contract is only £630 on O2 which is an unbelievable amount. Anyone who pre ordered with O2 got possibly the best smartphone deal seen in years!

@viridis You are correct, there seems to be no limit now on the O2 offer. I'm rather peeved that CW told me it had been delivered, but it's not arrived

It's actually impossible to see the terms and conditions of the UK e-store deal - the link is broken (404 error). Well done again, Sony/Brandpath!

As a matter of interest, has anyone who signed up for the exclusive pre-registration offer with Sony actually received an email notifying them of the e-store offer? Does anyone in Sony care that Brandpath have massively not delivered on this offer?

Haven't been offered anything exclusive here in Germany, although I registered early and it is already available in the shop.

I'm already disappointed and if nothing happens, will wait till it is cheaper.
