I was wondering where I can download the BIOS firmware for my laptop.

There are no BIOS Updates available for dowload for your model on the Support Page:

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-AR71M/updates

If you need the BIOS re-flashed with the original BIOS, you will need to contact Vaio Support.
