Please help, my VAIO won't boot?

I bought a new Sony L series all in one in February. It now won't boot up. I got a message saying it was repairing the c disc and now it seems dead. Please help. I tried ringing pc world who gave me Sony contact number but there was just a recorded message saying they are closed.

It's a new machine, surely this shouldn't happen?

Replying to my own post in case it helps someone else - system refresh didn't solve it so had to do a reset. There appears to be no customer service from sony whatsoever, not impressed
