How to get nvidia graphics card to work after Windows 8 upgrade/

I cannot get the Nvidia graphics driver to work after upgrading from Windows 7 to 8. I just have the basic render graphics driver and the Nvidia site tells me to contact Sony but I cannot get any help from them.

Has anyone had a similar problem and found a way to upgrade the graphics driver?

Sony will not support Windows 8 on older Vaio models.

You will need to modify the installer .inf file to get non-Sony drivers to install.
