Did you do the automatic tuning thingie?
On the same page as that there's an option for manual tuning. But the automatic tuning should pick up all the channels available to you. Mine always bulks up the channel list with 50 channels showing nothing but static! 
In fact, I've just moved house and, although the areal here is a bit naff, it still tuned everything in well enough to just watch the Snooker while in bed!
If you've done all that and still can't get the channels you want, I'll see if I can advise further. Good luck!
