Please can someone help me turn off the Vaio video which autoplays when I leave the screen idle for a short period of time. Changing the sleep and hibernate settings doesn't help and it's driving me nuts.

welcome to Club Vaio.. 
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
In control Panel select Appearance and Personalization.
Under Personalization click on Change Screen Saver
In the Screen Saver settings window select an alternative screen saver from the drop down list, click on preview to view and Apply to change..
Hopefully that should stop the Vaio video..
