Help! Monitor down!

Hi,

My laptop is PCG-GRX316MP. Yesterday, the LCD suddenly glimpsed and then turned to black. When I restart laptop, same thing happened again. Every time close the laptop LCD and open it again, the LCD can display several seconds and then shut down. Can anybody tells me what happened? Hardware problem? The laptop is used for nearly 2 years.

Another poor soul lost - seems to be this LCD death on the GRX316MP is very common.

The only thing that can be done is to check the inverter - if thats not the problem then it's the LCD, which could get costly :smileyfrustrated:

One good thing is you can use a monitor to use it for now.
