I have had my brand new vaio for 3 weeks now, however I have not been able to use it yet. First day when I tried the documentation disk the machine wouldn't recognise it. I called and called and left notes on vaio-link and I should say the people on the phone have been very helpful. After lots of trouble shootings and me trying to check the machine with different type of disks, the machine went for repair and came back missing the recovery disk , adding few scratches and BIOS being updated. But the same problem exits! Computer does not recognise some disks. Has anyone experinced the same problem? Thanks.

Have it re-sent back and ask for your recovery disks back
