White Pixels around outside of display KD-49XG7093

I have a KD-49XG7093 Bravia TV that is only just 13 months old.

Now I have noticed that all around the edge of the display there are white pixels, especially noticeable on dark pictures. From a distance it looks like a white line, however close up it is an uneven “line” of broken pixels.

I believe that this may have started happening after I updated the software a couple of months ago. The version would the the one before the latest one.

Anyone any ideas?

Make sure you're currently on the latest version, then try the basics of disconnecting everything from the TV and unplugging it from the power for ~3mins and see if you can still see this line. If you can, try factory resetting it, then just chat up Sony in case it's hardware related.
