SONY BRAVIA KDL-46HX853 Setup with Sonos Beam

Hi All, 

I’m having difficulty setting up my new Sonos Beam with my KDL-46HX853, I have connected the beam to the TV’s ARC HDMI port as per instructions but the setup wizard returns with  “can not detect HDMI ARC”.

The cable is the one supplied by Sonos, so it won’t be the cable. 

Ive spent hours trolling through TV settings but nothing seems to awaken the ARC port to respond to the beam being plugged in. 

any assistance on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated

Some users reported that Bravia Sync needed to be turned On before their audio system would work, have you tried that?
