Nougat upgrade lowered cpuclock??!
I'm willing to buy the X Compact in a couple of days, but I saw something interesting online. Can someone look into this? A Sony representative especially.
"So I upgraded my X compact to official Nougat 7.0 a couple of days back and on first impressions I noticed some lag here and there mostly when scrolling
And I knew that Snapdragon 650 is almost clos to SD810 so what could be the problem because it was awesomely fluid and smooth on MM 6.0.1, so I started to dig up and here's what I noticed:
In CPUz app on MM it shows Qualcomm SD 650 @ 1.8 GHz but today I looked it up and in Nougat it shows Qualcomm SD 650 @ 1.4 GHz!!! And if you look at cpu cores, those 2 last core Cpu4 and cpu5 are stopped (i guess those two are A72@1.8GHz cores right?)
So conclusion is that A72 cores which are the main core to maintain smoothness are offline for some reason so Im asking developers to dig this up and help us out
Thank you"

All cores are active. "busybox mpstat" shows activity for all of them:
F5321:/data/local/tmp $ ./busybox mpstat -P ALL Linux 3.10.84-perf-g3245575 (localhost) 12/29/16 _aarch64_ (6 CPU) 09:04:28 CPU %usr %nice %sys %iowait %irq %soft %steal %guest %idle 09:04:28 all 15.69 1.39 7.31 0.39 0.00 0.32 0.00 0.00 74.90 09:04:28 0 17.66 1.51 11.69 0.70 0.00 0.53 0.00 0.00 67.91 09:04:28 1 19.56 1.67 7.43 0.43 0.00 0.24 0.00 0.00 70.67 09:04:28 2 13.61 1.26 5.14 0.28 0.00 0.31 0.00 0.00 79.39 09:04:28 3 8.94 1.08 4.06 0.27 0.00 0.16 0.00 0.00 85.48 09:04:28 4 27.12 1.36 12.36 0.02 0.00 0.12 0.00 0.00 59.02 09:04:28 5 24.53 1.56 9.27 0.01 0.00 0.93 0.00 0.00 63.69
So the bug must be in those monitoring apps in Nougat. The cores 4&5 are up and running!

As said two post berfore, this isn't true.
The A72 core are active but wrongly shown as stopped. No problem with bench or games except some which have problem with nougat in general.

Download multi core monitor from Google play and you'll see the cores all working fine.
