About 5gb is reserved for apps and system files by android, it is still there, but you can't use it for other stuff. I got a 16gb sd card for cheap, you can get up to 32gb if you require more storage for media, pdfs, music etc

Additionally, you can get an OTG(on the go) micro USB to female USB lead for about £10 and connect USB flash drive. That way you have the portable convenience and the flexibility without the extortionate increase in price that Sony are demanding for storage on the go! And it is swappable memory too-Can't get any more convenient than that. IPAD users where's your convenient mobile storage?
