Hello Cagni1 - Welcome to the Sony Forums

The card or the data held on it may have become corrupted during this process and as a result, it may now be unrecognisable when inserted back into the camera. This may be solved by formatting the card so that it appears brand new in your W530 but you would need to backup the data first to a computer by using a card reader (these can be purchased for as little as £1 in some shops) and this can transfer the files to a computer using the USB port. Once you have made a copy of your photos, the card can be reformatted.

This can be done within the camera by following the steps below:

MENU (Settings) (Memory Card Tool) or (Internal Memory Tool) [Format] [OK]

If the camera will not allow you to format the memory card, this can also be done when you have the card in the reader and connected to a PC/Mac - the exact method for this will depend upon which type of computer you are using but usually if you right click on the memory card icon there will be a 'Format' option.

Thanks,

Simon
