I've owned a pair of WH-1000XM5 headphones since August 2023.
Today the right headphone suddenly stopped working.
I have had no prior issues and have only ever used these headphones indoors.
I have ensured the firmware is up to date and reset the the headphones to factory settings.
They are also fully charged.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, how do you fix it?
Unfortunately the headphones are out of warranty, but 18 months does not seem like a great lifespan for such an expensive product.
Any advice welcomed - thanks.
Hi @StudioTW, try resetting the headset by following the steps here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm5/v1/en/contents/TP1000541012.html And if the issue remains, initialize the headset: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm5/v1/en/contents/TP1000541013.html
If you're still facing the same issue after trying the above, you're gonna need to send your headset for inspection.
