Sony WH-CH500 Bluetooth not working properly on Skype (Windows 10)

Hello all,

I got a Sony WH-CH500 Bluetooth headset but it's not working properly on Skype, Discord, Microsoft Teams.

The device is connected and I can play music but there is no sound when I use any of these programs.

The microphone works great at this moment. In skype I also can test the microphone but there is no sound:

 

There is also a strange thing in the sound control panel. When I go to the "Recording" tab, the sound disappears, and after I go back to the "Playback" tab it works again.

I'm using Windows 10, all drivers are up to date.

Hi Sheinar, 

Welcome to the community. 

I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.

Hi Sheinar,

I do believe that the headset may not be fully functioning while using VOIP apps.

I have the same problem. It is quite disappointing as I was hoping that this would stop me being tethered to my laptop all the time 😞
