I've just taken delivery of a pair of WH-1000XM5 noise cancelling headphones. When I try to install the Headphones Connect app on my iPhone 7 Plus, I am told that the app is now called Sony Sound Connect and requires iOS 16.0 or later, which is not supported on iPhone 7 Plus.
Is there some other app (on either iPhone or Windows 11) that I can use, or have I really got to spend a large amount of money on a new iPhone to get the important functionality I thought I was getting when I bought my Sony product? How will I be able to do things like download firmware updates?
