wont update

Hi All, i have a vaio notebook VGN-N21M and when i try to update i can update all the various updates except the Vaio update and iam stuck on version 3.0.00.11180 which was installed on my laptop the day i bought it 2 months ago,when i download the update it goes through the install process yet when i follow the instuctions to check to see the new version number its always the old version,can you help thanks
