wireless

Hi
I just got a wireless router (groan).
I have a V3M. Do I need a wireless adapter as well? I thought it was wireless ready, but can not get it to connect without the ethernet cable!
The built in wireless network wizard says put the usb pen into the wireless access point, but it doesn't have a usb port. (netgear DG834GUK
any suggestions?

Hi ydnew and welcome to the forum.

I am a bit confused here as the specifications for your model make no mention of wireless LAN but the on-line user manual does. I suggest that you have a look at this – page 36 on.

The V3M does not have wireless lan built in. It was one of the differenses between the V3M and the V3S.
It does have a PCMCIA slot and you can get a wirless LAN card for pretty cheap.

Have a look at :

The wirless Network Wizard comes standard with XP Home. It doesn't mean the PC has Wirless.
