I've gone back through over 30 pages on this forum and can't see this problem arising before so I'm rather worried.
I bought a VGC-LT1M in the UK last month and have just brought it back to Peru (20% import duty, thank-you very much).
I have a wireless router which works perfectly well for my Vaio VGN-SZ2XP (PCG-6L1M) running Windows XP (also bought in the UK), but I cannot seem to connect the new desktop to its network and I don't understand why not.
The WLAN light is on and the computer detects the wireless network (which is unsecured) but on trying to connect just gives the message cannot connect and then trying to diagnose indicates "Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason"
Disabling the firewall didn't help, nor did disabling and re-enabling the device.
Help? Please?
