what the largest screen hooked up to a sony SZ2 laptop

hi i am wondering what the largest screens people have hooked up to there laptop, i am wanting to get a Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24 screen but i am worred weather my laptop will be able to supoort it and play dvds i have a vaio VGN-SZ2M/B the screen resolution of the screen i want to use is 1920 x 1200

In theory, you can connect it to a 42" plasma using VGA or DVI, the resolution should be fine
