Hi I have a Vaio VGC V2S desktop PC and am after a suitable webcam and headset. Has anyone got any suggestions as to which is the best one to go for?
I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro (for notebooks).
The picture quality is good. See here:
(daylight / evening) The native resolution is 640x480.
But the build in microphone isn't good.
I'm sure normal Quickcam Pro has same picture quality.
Another cool toy would be the Quickcam Sphere.
All aren't cheap, but really good. And the CCD sensor makes a great job in dark rooms too.
I'd second Logitech cameras too, they are excellent. I have the Quickcam Pro 4000 which is very good indeed. Demo:
Hahaha, no one beat the tiger.:smileylaugh:

The Creative Vista range are also worth looking at, general consensous at work was they are excellent. RRP about £40.00.
Does anybody have some problems with his Logicam Pro4000 ?
Because, I have installed it on my vaio M1 and every time I use the webcam with messenger, the PC restarts suddenly. Sometimes, 30s after I start to discuss with my friends, sometimes 3 minutes after.
This is a very boring problem baecause I can not use it at all.
On the Logitech's website, I have read that problems are to be expected with SIS chipsets (usb controller). And that's the case with my M1. But I have not succeed to fix my problem even by following the help procedure discribed ont the Logitech website.
If somebody could help me...
Thanks !
