Hi,
On my VGN-FE11M the "L" key has been hit by a falling object, and is now loose. I don't see how to put it back. I have the feeling that no piece is missing nor broken , but I am not sure at all...
Did some of you guys experienced the same prob and could sucessfully insert a key back? Do you know a way to check if the key and/or holding mechanism is intact? Is there a step-by-step procedure to reinsert a key on the keyboard?
thanks
fred
Hi fredblondieau and welcome to Club vaio.
Attached is a guide for re-attaching keys for your model...
thanks Rich,that's a great step-by-step guideline!
The clip was still in place, I checked on the pictures and it seems intact. But I still don't manage to put the key itself back in place ("Place the key on the clip and align it with the keys around it. Gently press first on the top and then on the bottom left and bottom right of the key". It seems the key clips on top, but is still loose on the bottom...
well I'll keep on trying and keep you informed
cheers
fred
Hi fred,
If all efforts to reattach the key fail then contact support, as part of the mechanism may be damaged. I understand that they will send you up to 5 keys free of charge...

You’re welcome Fred. Please to hear that you now have a functioning “L" key
I have a similar problem with a loose key in a VGN-FS415B. It popped out while i was cleaning it and i can't find a way to put it back. It seems nothing is missing. Is there a step-by-step guide to replace a key for my model?
Thanks
