VAIO VGN-FZ21E; USB Plugged/Unplugged sound when moving screen(lid)

Upgraded to Win7 in 09, no real problems since. Had the nvidia card replaced and all but no major problems, apart from a hiccup in May.

Recently, the USB plugged/unplugged sound is played when I move the lid. It is very annoying. The "Tell me if a USB device can run faster" balloon pops up too.

I went into Device Manager and saw "USB Composite Device" appearing and disappearing with moving the lid. Disabling it did nothing, and the sound is still playing.

Any help please?

The only USB device in the lid is the Webcam - is this working OK?

It could be, of course, that moving the lid stresses the main Vaio body and causes a poor connection somewhere on the motherboard but check the camera first.

Do you have anything else connected to a USB Port?
