Hello
how can i re-install the 1394 card

I can find by myself the driver folder and windows ask me to install it on every start.

Please help me to find this blody driver.

you should of got a cd with the card, you can reinstall the driver from there

Your Firewire 400mbit 1394 driver should be native to Windows XP, and therefore should be included with Windows XP.

If you visit Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Hardware > Device Manager and then click the 1394 entry from the list (IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers).

EDIT: Click the remove button from the toolbar at the top, then click the scan for changes button to reinstall the driver.

In 99.99% of cases this normally cures your problem.

Kris - most VAIO's now ship without CD's and this driver is not included on the Recovery Hard Disk Boot Partition (HDBU) or the CD's/DVD's with VAIO's - the driver is part of Microsoft Windows XP.
