Hello,
I have read MASSES of posts on-line and on this Community Forum regarding noisy fans - it seems to be a common issue.
I've spent the best part of two hours today trying various people's fixes.
Three I tried and failed with were:-
1. Updating BIOS software (no difference)
2. Disabling CPU C3/C6 of the BIOS sotware (no difference)
3. Changing settings for Microphones and Speakers (no difference)
THEN I came across a post on here telling someone else who's had the problem to BLOW into the fan outlet - ideally using compressed air, but I just blew REALLY hard and low and behold, the noise that I can usually hear from by bathroom (about 40 feet away round two bends!!!) has been at least halved - oh sweet quiet!!!
So fan problems - get a compressed air can and try doing that first - I'm SO relieved - but I do think that SONY need to address the issue properly.
