Vaio Care still says "Create Recovery Media" ...

I've already created a set of recovery discs from the Vaio Care System Settings. The message displayed correctly at the time that this had been done. Yet since then it's still telling me to create them.

Short of creating another set of discs (which I'm not prepared to do given the length of time it took!), is there anything I can do to get rid if this notification?

Things may have changed on recent models but generally this message is generated by VAIOReminder.exe – usually located in C:\Program Files\Sony\ VAIO Reminder and is launched by Task Scheduler.

Open Task Scheduler and expand the tree on the left. You may find the scheduled task (Vaio Reminder) under Sony Corporation – disable or delete the task.

If that is not the case then someone with a more recent model may be able to help.
