useing wireless

Hi there,I have just got a vaio FS415B it has built in wireless and would like to use it but I dont know what I need to use it/set it up etc?

If you do not have one already you will need a wireless router of some kind. The type you need depends on whether your internet conection is cable or ADSL.

Hi,yes I have a desk top pc ,I get my net through the desktop pc,im on broadband,i dont know if its cable or ADSL,sorry x

BT, AOL, PIPEX, Wanadoo, Bulldog or Virgin?

Or is it NTL or Telewest?

I would say you have an ADSL connection.

Do you know what type of ADSL modem you have and whether it connects to your pc via
USB
or Ethernet?

If your modem looks similar to this then you connect via USB

You'll need a simple router like this one - I use this one and it's been superb

You can, if you wish, also connect the router to your desktop pc by way of the ethernet port.
