I never had a single problem synchronizing problem with Activesync.
Now I got Vista I'm stuck with Windows Mobile Device Center wich is if you ask me a piece of crap. I have a QTEK s110 MDA, and I want to sync calandar, contact and tasks. Sure no problem you would think, same thing Microsoft said (it's in the supported list).
To start with Bluetooth does not function at all. It's not my Bluetooth bc that one works perfectly. After a battle over 2 hours I gave up and tried USB. To my surprise it connected, BUT yes indeed ALWAYS THE BUT it does not sync my calendar, contacts and tasks. As a matter affect that option remains GREY. Al the other options are available exept THAT one. Don't know what Microsoft is doing but it looks to me they want to annoy Windows Mobile 2003 users.
I have a windows mobile 2003 device. I thought that might be the problem, but Microsoft says they support it. What's the freeking USE of having Windows Mobile Device Center (they couldn't think of a longer name), if I can't sync my data with outlook 2007.
Anybody with advice would be appreciated.
Open the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services and change the value of SerialPort from Bluetooth to COM7. 😉
I have tried your suggestion today but it didnt work for me.
Any other ideas?

Oups! I forgot to mention that you have to restart your computer, after you save the changes you made to the registry. If this still doensn't fix your problem, well... I don't know what else you could do. 😞
