My flatmate has an SONY VAIO VGN-AW11S/B laptop that was recently slightly refurbished (just new hard disk and windows) but it hasn't had a SONY VAIO VGN-AW11S/B battery for a long time. She finally bought new original sony battery today and it won't charge! First there was some indication that battery is charging but after it reached 75% it stopped with message that battery is not charging. When she took out the power cord, laptop was working on battery but when she tried to restart on battery- nothing happened! We've plugged in the laptop while it's off and the battery light is flashing (orange) like it's charging but when she tries to turn the laptop on without the power cord-nothing happens! I just need to know if this is a problem with battery or lapotop? If it's battery, she can return it to the shop, just have to be sure what the problem is! Please help! Thank you
