Hi

Welcome to the forum.

Where did you buy the laptop? If you bought it from a store you should be able to exchange it for a new one as it's only 5-days old.

Hi

You could try writing to computer active they have a very good problems page and usually get a good outcome. If you tell the store you bought it from that you intend to contact the media they might sit up and pay attention.
As twisted says you have rights and they lay with the store you bought it from, don't be fobbed off with" it’s a Sony problem"

hope this helps

Send it back, or as TR says take it to the store.

Might of been better to spill a drink on a Dell or an Acer than a Sony. Like Volvos great if they have no problems a nightmare if you do.

I think you're best calling the insurance broker
