S-Video out on FE41S

Hi All

I'm having a problem with the S-video out on my FE41S and was wondering whether anyone has a fix.

I connect the S-video out to my TV input, press 'F7' to get the Sony utility to work, selected both 'LCD and TV' and 'TV only' but there's no signal provided out to the TV, which just shows a blank screen.

I've got a much older Dell, and the TV works fine with a computer input.

Is it a fault with the laptop or am I not doing something right ?

How are you connecting to the TV? If it is by a S-Video to Scart then you will probably find that the Scart does not support S-Video. You need a fully-wired scart and you will also need to switch the TV input to accept S-Video.

If your TV has a S-Video input then I haven't a clue - it should work OK.

The TV has a S-Video in, and it's set in the menu to accept, so I haven't got a clue either.

Is it possibly a fault with the S-Video connector on the laptop ?
