Hi!!! My cleaning women thrown away my recovery cd for my vaio-notebook PCGN505SN - I have a bad virus...and want to install everything new...How know what to do....

Welcome to the forum Ed.

As this model does not have a hard drive recovery partition, I am afraid that your only option is to purchase a set of recovery disks from Sony - £50+ I believe, assuming that you need/want the Sony software that is.

If you are not interested in any of the bundled Sony software you could always install your own copy of Windows and then download and install any necessary drivers and utilities from Vaio-Link.

The only thing you can do is call VAIO-Link, hopefully they'll have one.

That model is heading on 5 years old, so I hope they still have them in stock
