Quick Battery drain

Hi
I have a 4 month old FS215B, and the battery is drained to the point that it goes into hibernation after 70 minutes, this is with the screen brightness on the lowest setting whilst it is doing things like spy ware scanning, running check disk, defrag and disk cleanup, has any body got any ideas

Sony gauge the stated battery life with virtually everything disabled and only office based applications (one at a time) running. Have a look here.

All of the processes you describe are highly disk intensive and will discharge the battery fairly quickly.
