Hi everyone,
I recently bought my Vaio and there should be a testversion of Norton Ghost on it (90 days) - well thats written in one of the booklets. But when I open it, it says that the licence time is over... how can this happen?
thanx!!!
Is the Vaio a x-display model?
Sounds like someone's been using that laptop before you recieved it
Hi reyday,
Welcome to Club vaio,
Possibly if you did a system recovery the 90 days may begin again, this does work with Norton Internet security..:smileyhappy:
I does seem, as Kee-Lo and Vas have already mentioned, that this laptop has be used before you purchased it...
You are right Thalamus when I reovered my unit I got another trial.:smileylaugh:
Will Premiere Pro 2.0 trial work like this :smileybatting_eyelashes: :smileythinking::smileylaugh:
Hi Guys,
New to Vaio Ownership .....Have the same problem with my FE21h...... Norton Ghost states my subscription has expired and I have only had the laptop 6 days. Not overly concerned as several posts state that it's not compatible with Vaio Recovery and to be honest this is the first system I have owned with this kind of recovery software so it's all new/confusing. My Vaio box had a sony seal on it which had not been broken so not sure that someone (other than in the factory) could have already used it.
Just frustrated that it's a problem to sort out so soon.
It took numerous restarts and continuous downloads when I first booted up just to be able to use my vaio, with endless product update boxes/warnings for software that will expire soon anyway.
If anyone knows a quick fix for this problem I would be gratefull, otherwise I suspect I will just remove it along with all the other rubbish already clogging my system up.
Incidentally ......anyone else think the battery fit is very poor on the FE series. Mine is loose and rattles ...not overly impressed with build quality.
Thanks
Xander
Remove it, from what I understand it's only a demo.
Acronis TrueImage is much better
I agree.
It's very strange that the Ghost trial has already expired on a new Vaio though..:smileyconfused:
You need Norton Exorcist to uninstall it.
