No installation id generated for XP Home

I have reinstalled XP Home on a Vaio VGN-FS515H (aka PCG -7M1M).

But when it comes to activating XP Home, there is no Installation ID genrated for the activation.

Help please, Microsoft say it is a hardware issue.

Most obliged for any advice on this one.
